IPL 2019 Points Table
Indian Premier League season 12 Points Table is starting to take shape. The IPL 2019 began on March 23 in Chennai with defending champions Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opener. Eight teams will compete against each other in the league stage of the tournament and try to finish in the top four of the Points Table of 2019 IPL. The top four teams of the Points Table will qualify for the Play-offs while the remaining four will have to finish their tournament before the Play-offs.

Each of the 14 matches will be played between eight teams in the VIVO IPL 2019 league stage – against each other, seven teams each. The top four teams going forward in the play-off will play qualifiers and eliminators. The teams that finish the top two in the IPL Points Table will proceed to the qualifier. The winners of this match will qualify for the IPL final. The losers will play the qualifiers. The third and fourth teams will play the role of Eliminator in the Points Table. The winner of this game will play qualifier 2 while the loser will go home. The winners of Qualifier 2 will play IPL final on May 19.

If a team has a winning match in IPL, then the team is awarded 2 points
If there is no result of match results, then both teams will be awarded 1 point each.

If the match gets a tie, then the super over (6 hair matches) will be. The two teams will have to play only 1 over with only 2 wickets. If both wickets go for the opposite team then the innings ends, and the next team will play.

The run rate of one team (RR), or per-over (RPO), is the average number of runs scored in the entire innings (or the full innings so far), that is, the whole team scored.

Taking an example, if a team creates 300 runs in 50 overs, then they have RR (300/50 = 6)
If the match goes into 47.5 overs, then the net run rate will be (300 / 47.833 = 6.27)
0.833 = 5/6 (5 balls that were played in the last over (which included 6 balls)
